Say hello to our new intern, Felicia Roark!
Felicia is currently enrolled in the WVU-Charleston Cohort as an MSW candidate and we could not be more excited to have her on our team for the summer. She is on the Community Organization Social Administration (COSA) track with a concentration in gerontology. Having worked with seniors in her previous position at Thomas Memorial Hospital, Felicia grew to develop a special affinity for this demographic. She is committed to using her energy and education to improve the quality of life for the seniors we serve.
We have big plans to use Felicia's skills and passion to help improve our organization from top to bottom. She's going to be exposed to every aspect of a young and growing nonprofit in addition to gaining hands-on service experience with our care receivers and volunteers.
As we continue to see ever-larger numbers of applicants requesting our free volunteer services, having an intern is in integral component of our growth, enhancing our capacity to serve. We are grateful to The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation and WVU-Charleston for making our internship dreams come true!
