About Us

Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley is a volunteer program providing free services to our older neighbors, aged 60 and up, in Kanawha and Putnam counties. We have a range of programs for our care receivers to choose from, depending on their need. These include transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping assistance, weekly reassurance calls, and minor home repairs through our Honey Do Crews.

Our volunteers come to us from various places and live all over the Valley. No matter how they find us, every volunteer must go through a three-step screening and training process before they are permitted to serve. We have the best volunteers in town, and we are so honored they’ve chosen to work with our organization, providing the meaningful services they do every single day. Beyond the connections made with those they serve, our volunteers appreciate the incredible flexibility our program offers.

Whether you want to know how to take advantage of our services or are interested in becoming a volunteer, we’re here to help. We love matching people with time and talents to share with the older adults in our community, neighbor to neighbor. It’s not just our job… it’s our joy.

Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley is a 501(c)3 non-profit and a registered Charitable Organization with the state of West Virginia.
