NEIGHBOR HELPING NEIGHBOR
Need A Hand?
Do you find yourself cancelling medical appointments because you don't have reliable transportation? Are you having difficulty with grocery shopping because you can't carry the packages or just don't have a ride? Would a grab bar or a handrail make access to your home easier for you? Often, seemingly small tasks like these can mean the difference between an elder neighbor being able to age in place in their own home or apartment and being forced to move in with relatives or to a senior facility where they can have greater access to assistance.
We Can Help!
If you are an older adult in Kanawha or Putnam County who wishes to remain independent while maintaining your dignity and quality of life, contact Faith in Action of the Greater Kanawha Valley to learn more about the services our caring and compassionate volunteers can provide. The first step is to complete a brief application to give us more information about yourself and the ways a volunteer can make a difference in your life.
